Today is a yes day

…and I might already be regretting it!

I decided last night that I was going to attempt to not say “no” to the children today.  Obviously I haven’t told them what I’m doing – I’m not totally mad!

At 10.30 this morning I had a cookery session for 6 children, ranging in age from 2 to 6.

We had great fun making Jammy donut cakes, and whilst they were in the oven we looked at, and tasted, 5 different types of melon.   Yummy! 🍉🍉

The children all left at 11.30am happily clutching their boxes of cakes, and that’s where my regret started.

I started to tidy up the carnage mess and within 90 seconds my son was in the kitchen asking to make his own donut cakes.
I SAID YES
My daughter came in, saw what was going on and asked if she could make some  homemade hobnobs
I SAID YES
My husband came home from a bike ride so I made some lunch.

It is now 1.30pm, my cookery session finished 2 hours ago and my kitchen still looks like a war zone.

But this is what I got for saying YES
