Four seasons in one week
Last Wednesday I was talking to one of my cookery club classes about the snow (hail and sleet) that had fallen the day before. Everyone had seen it, and were equally as excited as they were confused by it. Today we had the windows open because it was roasting in my kitchen! The seasons are mad. So now that we have had 2 nice days of weather in a row, I have packed up the winter clothes, dragged the shorts out from the back of the wardrobe and have declared SUMMER!!!!! And with Summer comes picnics; everyday, everywhere we go. We are never too far from a picnic, be they indoors or outdoors. For a few more picnic food ideas, check out my very first blog post.
Crafty Cooks pizza recipe
To get you started here is the crafty cooks pizza dough recipe.
3oz self raising flour
2 1/2 tbsp milk
1/2 oz grated cheese.
Rub the butter into the flour, add the milk and cheese and knead until you have a nice dough. Roll it out , place on a lined baking tray and top with whatever takes your fancy. Cook for 12-15 mins at 190°C
During the course of this week, I have enjoyed making pizzas with almost 30 children, varying in age from 2 to 8, and they all have very specific ideas on what makes the perfect pizza!
So here just for you are a few of their favourite toppings:
- ham and peach;
- margherita (cheese and tomato);
- PEPPERONI (shouted in a very loud voice);
How would you answer this? What would be your picnic or pizza night pizza? For me a pizza isn’t pizza without Port Salut cheese and Reggae Reggae sauce!
This week we are linking up with Monkey and Mouse and their How to Sundays linky
Have a great day, Maria xx
