You know when your 10 year old wakes up and creeps downstairs before your alarm has gone off that it is going to be a long day!
Followed shortly after by your 4 year old who, despite being up at midnight chatting to her dad about Minions (dummy dum heh heh), decides that she has had enough sleep!
Then the kids tell you they can see rubbish coming down the chimney. “Don’t worry” I tell them, the birds sit on the roof and sometimes drop bits of twigs and moss down. We shall clean it up later on.
I return to the kitchen to make a cup of tea, and no sooner am I pouring the boiling water into the tea bag, both kids scream that there is a pigeon in the front room!
If I’m honest I was already to leave them to it, but I channelled my inner grown up, and ventured in to see what was happening. They weren’t joking!
I can only imagine that it felt like Santa, tumbling down the chimney like that.
But all’s well that ends well. He or she flew out of the back door, leaving me to clear up the remnants of its nest.
Once that’s done, Daddy has run out of granola, so we are going to be making some.
Here’s my recipe that I’m going to get the kids to follow!
Have a great day #toddlerapprovedtuesday
