There are going to be 5 adults and 2 children spending Christmas here this year, and as much as I love my kitchen, I do not want to be stuck in it cooking, serving, and cleaning 24/7.
So to try and reduce some of my self imposed burden I am going to spend the next 24 days filling my freezer with all manner of delicious sweet and savoury delights.
You know the kind of things that can be taken out an hour before they are needed, or slung in an oven from frozen when friends and neighbours drop round!
My list is not final yet, so if you have any favourite Yule snacks that should make my top 24, you can add a link below!
But just to tempt you to come back and visit over the next 3 and 1/2 weeks here is a sneaky peak at some of the recipes I will be making.
- vegetarian sausage rolls
- meaty sausage rolls
- mince pies
- gingerbread trees
- bread rolls
- bread sauce
- quick light Christmas pudding
So remember, if you have any recipes that are generations old, and handed down from mother to daughter (I’m looking for a really good chestnut stuffing recipe) then I promise to love them like they were my own.
